Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Clinical Coordinator, RN, to oversee the daily operations of our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This supervisory role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing staff, and coordinating procedures within the unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise and lead the nursing and technical staff in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
  • Coordinate daily procedures and schedules to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with healthcare policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for staff.
  • Ensure the Cardiac Cath Lab is adequately equipped and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor patient care for quality assurance and improvement.
  • Provide direct patient care when necessary, demonstrating advanced clinical skills in cardiac care.
  • Assist in budget preparation and management for the Cardiac Cath Lab.
  • Participate in research activities and stay updated on advancements in cardiac care and catheterization procedures.

Qualifications
  • Current RN license in DC or eligibility for licensure.
  • BSN required, MSN or related advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a cardiac care setting.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
  • Certification in Cardiac Vascular Nursing or Critical Care Nursing is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare technology.
