GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Client Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations for clients and serving as a trusted advisor for these clients and other key stakeholders. This includes addressing inquiries regarding financial performance and planning and effectively communicating and providing financial information, analysis, and recommendations.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management:

  • Create, maintain, reconcile, and monitor tour-specific financial records, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow and track actual costs against projections.
  • Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements related to client expenses, including managing petty cash and reconciling cash transactions.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements including Profit and Loss (P&L), balance sheet, cash flows, and intercompany transactions to identify discrepancies and provide insights for strategic decision-making.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare regular financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets for clients.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare assigned reports and analysis and miscellaneous reports as requested.

Expense Management:

  • Review and verify expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with client managers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or billing issues.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose efficient expense management strategies.

Tax and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, both domestic and international, related to touring activities.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations affecting the client and their needs.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities; provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis.
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes for client needs.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Communicate financial information and analysis effectively to stakeholders, both finance and non-finance individuals.
  • Participate in meetings and provide financial expertise and guidance as required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.


EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role at a large business management firm, with a focus on overseeing financial operations for various types of clients, including entertainment and touring.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification a plus.
  • Strong accounting background; deep understanding of financial principles and practices (financial statements analysis, financial reporting, etc.
  • Proven experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the entertainment industry.
  • Proficient in accounting software and tools, specifically Agilink and Datafaction to efficiently manage client accounts and financial data.
  • Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and/or other financial systems a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in GAAP, including practical application and research of accounting standards.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours and at various locations as required.
