Summary: This position investigates, evaluates, disposes, and settles complex bodily injury and property claims with moderate supervision.
Compensation Range: $60,000 - $90,000 (Annual Salary)
Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
The Senior Claims Adjuster is responsible for the investigation, adjustment, and settlement of assigned Liability claims. This involves bodily injury and complex property claims in pre-litigated status. Direct handling of designated litigated and complex claims.
- Exercises proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claims exposure to determine the proper course of action and to appropriately settle the claim.
- Interacts extensively with various parties, including legal counsel, involved in the claim process.
- Handles claims consistent with clients' and corporate policies, procedures and "best practices" and in accordance with any statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.
- Documents and communicates all claim activity timely and effectively and in a manner which supports the outcome of the claim file.
- Dealing with multiple customers at once.

- Represent company in small claims court, in arbitration and other legal settings.
- Travel out of state as needed (quarterly)
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- 4-year degree in a specified field or business-related field and commensurate work-related experience.
- Transportation industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Broad understanding transportation processes and standards
- Excellent organizational skills required.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- The ability to adapt to a changing environment.
