Job Details:
Our organization is seeking a seasoned and innovative Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects that significantly impact the community. You will be involved in a wide range of engineering tasks, including the design and development of roadways, bridges, and other infrastructural projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, design, and oversee the construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure, including roadways, bridges, and drainage systems.
2. Utilize advanced software such as Microstation and Openroads for designing and modeling purposes.
3. Comply with guidelines and regulations including INDOT, safety standards, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct site evaluations to ensure quality control and prepare detailed reports or project designs.
5. Develop design ideas for new construction projects, alterations, and redevelopments.
6. Carry out complex calculations and technical drawings.
7. Use computer-aided design (CAD) packages for designing projects.
8. Implement traffic modeling systems and highway lighting solutions.
9. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including working closely with architects and other engineers.
10. Ensure project completion within the designated timeline and budget.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on roadway design, bridges, and infrastructure development.
3. Proficiency in Microstation, Openroads, and other relevant software.
4. Familiarity with INDOT regulations and guidelines.
5. Proven experience in drainage systems, traffic modeling, and highway lighting.
6. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
7. Excellent project management skills.
8. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
9. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
