Our team regularly collaborates on projects across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable working and collaborating on a variety of different projects with team members across North America.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player that is excited about taking on a new challenge. While the successful candidate will be based in our geographic west region, we do offer flexible hybrid work from home/office arrangements.

Your Responsibilities as a Civil CAD/BIM Technologist

Using your knowledge of drafting practices and CAD platforms you will work closely with other CAD Technician / Technologists, engineers, and senior designers to complete the following tasks:

+ Prepare engineering drawings for municipal, commercial, and industrial projects with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Prepare plan, profile, grading, surface design for water, storm, wastewater piping, and roadways design from concept to final, ensuring reviewer comments received are corrected and addressed.

+ Prepare presentation graphics and report figures.

+ Coordinate project drawings with project managers, technical staff, and others.

+ Complete model reviews and collaborate with other technical disciplines.

+ Ensure that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.

+ Understand and adhere to Stantec and client standards.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

+ Effective communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities and a willingness to work in a team atmosphere.

+ Highly organized, have significant attention to detail, able to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.

+ Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.

+ Experience with MS Office Suite including Word, and Excel.

+ Experience in following considered an asset:

+ Topographic and as-built surveys

+ Construction Supervision

+ Civil 3D

+ Infraworks

+ Revit

+ Open Roads or Inroads

+ Autodesk BIM 360/ACC and ProjectWise

+ Autodesk Recap

+ AutoTurn or Vehicle tracking

+ Bluebeam

Education and Experience

+ A Civil Engineering Technology Diploma or Associate degree or certificate in related program.

+ Experience and familiarity with municipal, urban development and water resources disciplines and/or an education background in these areas.

+ Experience with process mechanical systems, wet infrastructure, and structural design associated with water and wastewater treatment plants and collection and distribution systems considered an asset.

+ Minimum 5 years of experience. Comprehensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D would be considered an asset.

Typical office environment working with computers at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Salary Range(s):

• $38.70 Per Hour - $56.11 Per Hour Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
