A Day In The Life
• Source major commodity items for the Business Unit and manage the corresponding supply chain.
• Manage all stages of a sourcing project from initial plan to completion.
• Assist in make/buy decisions.
• Assist in cost saving measures through an improvement process (Kaizen).
• Keep records/files pertaining to items purchased, cost, delivery, product performance, and on-hand inventories.
• Work closely with manufacturing management to ensure inventory goals are met.
• Maintain accurate purchase order dates on SAP.
• Identification and disposition of obsolete materials.
• Work with suppliers to resolve quality rejections and manage corrective actions.
What will help you thrive in this role?
• Minimum of 4-year college degree in Business or Engineering
• SAP experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
• Ability to travel on business related trip (5-10%)
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
