What you’ll be working on:

Summary:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (SBSA) is a critical member of the Solution Delivery team and may serve in an Enterprise-wide capacity. You are responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.  Your responsibilities will range from aligning strategy and vision, to driving business and system processes and requirements, across multiple teams (store operations, business, engineering, QA, etc.).  The person in this role will be able to gather these requirements and formulate the requirements across the Enterprise. 

We are looking for a passionate experienced advocate with strong business acumen and technical skills, that can identify strengths and weaknesses within the Business and IT, then drive new solutions, process, and procedure improvements. The role will utilize exceptional customer/partner empathy, effective communication, and collaboration skills, to successfully launch business critical solutions. 

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is the person responsible for analyzing the benefit to the organization by establishing which activities are necessary to meet the program’s goals & objectives and is responsible for the centralized coordinated management of those activities. Within programs, the SBSA may also act as a project manager driving the execution of discreet projects as needed.  

Essential Job Functions:

    • Manage multiple initiatives or initiatives with multiple workstreams. 
    • Provide leadership, support and mentoring to fewer senior analysts. 
    • Develop, review, and modify analysis templates, tools, and processes. 
    • Work in conjunction with Program Managers, cross functional business managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define project and program requirements 
    • Document business/systems requirements and perform gap analysis within project timelines. 
    • Coordinate with project resources across multiple workstreams. 
    • Lead requirements workshops/analysis, validation, and verification, ensuring that requirements are complete, consistent, and concise. 
    • Work with or serve as a product owner in Agile/SCRUM development processes; write user stories, groom the backlog, and lead sprint planning. 
    • Perform as a SME on system features during troubleshooting or during requirements workshops. 
    • Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge. 
    • Identify challenges within the organization and then implement certain procedures and processes to overcome them. 
    • Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity. 
    • Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover impactful insights. 
    • Partner with internal and external teams to deliver on time and with the quality required. 
    • Basic project management skills 
    • Ensure all Business Systems, IT systems and partner platforms are in place and that the business solution and technical design accurately represents the requirements.

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience 
    • Minimum 5+ years IT experience 
    • 8 - 10+ years Enterprise Software Project management 
    • Scrum Master Certification preferred. 
    • Data Analysis Certification preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs 
    • The ability to communicate and understand the spoken word are important as well, for example: 
    • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word.  
    • Ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.  
    • Ability to receive detailed information visually through written communication (both physical and electronic).
