As a SeniorBusiness Planning Leader (BPL) for the US Oncology, Immuno-Oncology/GI (IO/GI) Franchise, you will play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients' lives. The US Oncology Business Unit: Commercial Group is the 'face' of AstraZeneca to our many healthcare clients. In this role, you will be an integral member of the US IO/GI Cancer leadership team and will be responsible for improving operational efficiency and integrating field and marketing efforts across the franchise. This is a leadership role aligned with the franchise head, serving as a business partner and Franchise Leadership Team.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead in the planning and implementation of franchise goals/scorecards and priorities by collaborating with key internal cross-functional collaborators.
  • Coordinate the development/execution of franchise-specific strategic programs.
  • Project Management champion and critical link into the Central Portfolio Management Office, providing inputs for accurate demand capture, risk identification, and mitigation strategies aligned to the franchise scorecard
  • Actively liaise with other franchises to ensure consistency and drive best practices.
  • Coordinate all strategic, financial (budget) planning and processes (HLOP, DLOP, BSP, tactical plan, etc.) as well as sales operations- be the liaison between HO and field in terms of ensuring key deliverables and plan execution.
  • Lead the planning and execution of all franchise (LT/National) sales meetings and above franchise (ONx) level meetings, develop, and maintain a calendar of key leadership touchpoints throughout the year.
  • Develop and manage franchise or functional communications, including weekly update emails, and engagement plans (e.g., monthly calls with group of PSSs, team building events)
  • Serves as a change agent for the franchise.

This role is campus-based at our site in Gaithersburg, MD, headquarters for our Oncology associates. We expect a minimum of 3 days per week on-site in the office.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years or more US pharmaceutical experience
  • 5+ years of strong project and process leadership skills
  • Strong people skills, and ability to motivate and influence others for change and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across functions and lead without formal authority.
  • Independently functional with technology, software, and presentation production
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and adapt to change while simultaneously maintaining focus on objectives and envisioning the bigger picture.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Advanced Degree (master's or above)
  • 3 years or more working in US Oncology
  • Previously successfully navigated the pharmaceutical business (including development, launch readiness, and operations)
