The Business Analyst III will be responsible for providing support services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in ensuring a safe and efficient National Airspace System (NAS) through lifecycle management and in-service management support. The Business Analyst III will work closely with Technical Operations Services Organization (Tech Ops) and the Operations Support Group to provide policy, support, and technical services in support of the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and track program artifacts, including electronic storage of source documents.
- Review, dissemination, tracking, and providing feedback on program documentation and other deliverables through completion and acceptance.
- Development and distribution of ongoing programmatic communications activities, such as newsletters, email updates, web content, print materials, or electronic bulletin boards.
- Design briefings, surveys, and questionnaires regarding the management and technical aspects of all phases of the NAS systems lifecycle.
- Conduct program risk and issues management, including the developing and implementation of mitigation strategies and provide recommendations.
- Provide recommendation for planning for In Service Decision (ISD) activities and coordination with FAA Program Offices for NISG programs.
- Conduct planning and coordination associated with the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) and Implementation Strategy and Planning Document (ISPD) for NAS programs and provide recommendations.
- Tailor the In-Service Review (ISR) Checklist to facilitate resolution of readiness issues prior to ISD and provide recommendations.
- Verify that logistics-related activities in the ISR checklist are complete so the product or service will be operationally suitable at the ISD.
- Coordinate with program offices to develop action plans and resolve those actions to satisfy the ISD entrance criteria stipulated in their ISR Checklist.
- Support the development, tracking and reporting of NISG program schedules and status.
- Plan, coordinate and provide recommendations to support systems/services/projects through feedback to stakeholders regarding lessons learned using Line of Business (LOB) telecoms, legacy systems workshops, briefings, and/or recommended changes to policy.
- Provide platform specific project material management support for managing agency-wide assets.
- Prepare and process the necessary documentation for MSP Parts and Service Order Agreements and initiate PRISM Purchase Orders when required.
- Process MSP Logistics Center Support System (LCSS) orders and verify costs are correct.
- Provide MSP customer and user support to the Program Management Offices, Logistics Center, Technical Operations, System Support Centers (SSC) and field technicians.
- Assist field spares barcoding, inventory, systems, training, and processes serving and assisting the program office and field customers.
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and sustainment of processes that allow AJW-17 to effectively track and monitor strategic PMO initiatives that would impact our current AJW-17 portfolio of NAS systems/capabilities.
- Lead/Support internal projects pertaining to process creation, risk mitigation, improved communication, and/or stakeholder engagement.
- Conduct group facilitation, requirements gathering, communications development, and implementation planning.
- Review, verify, and update AJW Support POC List as required, in accordance with the process.
- Assist with the development of AJW Portfolio Reviews as required, in accordance with the process.
Qualifications:
- A. or B.S. in business, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 - 10 years of experience in business analysis or related field.
- Experience in lifecycle management and in-service management support.
- Familiarity with National Airspace System (NAS) equipment and related data analysis.
- Knowledge of acquisition management system (AMS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Microsoft Project, Vizio, Tableau.
- Ability to analyze business objectives and develop solutions to solve business issues.```Duties:```
