ILI Product Solutions has an opening on our Private Placement team. The successful candidate will provide new business and in force support for our individual Private Placement life and annuity products. The insureds / annuitants are High-Net-Worth individuals and investment options are a key focus of the products. All products offer registered funds and insurance dedicated funds (IDFs), and the life products also offer managed separate accounts (MSAs). This role will primarily support fund related work, but there is also a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of both life insurance and annuity products. This will be a hands-on role that requires organizational skills and attention to detail. The team interacts with many internal and external partners of all levels. This group works hard, often under tight deadlines, but we enjoy the work and support one another so we are looking for someone who will bring positive energy to the team. The current Employee Work Arrangement (EWA) for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
Key Responsibilities
• Support onboarding new funds. Review business justification form, secure approval from Director to engage operational due diligence review and store all documents. Coordinate scheduling Investment Committee meetings. Maintain annual list of reviewed funds
• Continuously update marketing fund lists for newly onboarded and liquidating funds; submit to Manager / Director for approval then coordinate updates with Marketing
• Review new custodial account opening paperwork from external Investment Managers for new Managed Separate Accounts (MSAs), secure signatures store copies of all signed forms
• Create and maintain copies of policy specific MSA Investment Policy Statements
• Provide all Insurance Dedicated Fund (IDF) updates to our Third-Party Administrator for delivery to investors
• Perform initial review of large fund documents (100+ pages), extracting and summarizing requested data points to identify red flags and facilitate more thorough review by the Director
• Ensure quality assurance by conducting new policy reviews prior to issue
• Review vendor expense invoices for accuracy / reasonability and recommend for approval
• Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at the request of the Manager or Director
• Track data and send monthly / quarterly reports with policy and fund data to PP team
• Research / analyze questions and issues on private placement products and funds
The work of this associate will be directly supervised. As experience is gained and proficiency in required knowledge and skills is demonstrated, more challenging and complex assignments and responsibilities may be given.
Qualifications:
• Detail oriented and highly organized with excellent time management skills
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to develop relationships and interact with all levels within the organization
• Self-motivated, proactive, and adept at handling multiple changing priorities
• Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to test product calculations
• Knowledge of life insurance, annuities, or funds is a plus
• A college degree or equivalent work experience is desired
• Proficient in all Microsoft 365 products; Adobe experience is a plus
• Series 6 will be required by end of 2024

The salary range for this role is from $62,500.00 to $93,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
