Roles Supervised: Brand Manager, Non-Alc Brand Manager, Marketing & eCommerce Manager, Forecasting Analyst and Forecasting & Brand Support



POSITION SUMMARY
This position oversees and manages assigned supplier relationships and brand development based upon target sales & marketing programs. Duties include the development and implementation of all sales and marketing programs to attain annual sales targets by supplier, key account selling, budget management, and volume/distribution execution. Collaborate on all assigned supplier annual marketing plans, supplier service policies, forecasting, logistics, and internal communications. This position is also responsible for managing the Brand Management Team, which includes five other team members that work together to forecast, manage, and market the brands that make up the West Side Beer Distributing portfolio. Responsible for adhering to and holding direct reports accountable to all company policies, standard operating procedures, MLCC guidelines and supplier agreements.

  • Primary conduit between suppliers and company infrastructure and all internal communications
  • Primary conduit between Suppliers & Sales Managers; link Marketing with Sales Execution.
  • Provide retail and brand performance information to suppliers as needed
  • Review and provide preliminary approval to supplier programs as defined by the supplier programming policy
  • Identify inventory issues and remedy with the supplier (Facilitate & Be Engaged w/ Transfer Process)
  • Review interim and final program effectiveness with suppliers.
  • Develop and recommend short and long term growth strategies which will keep the company profitable
  • Quarterback the Supplier Annual Business Plan Meeting process and provide support to the Brand Manager and Non-Alc Brand Manager throughout the meetings
  • Provide Marketing & eCommerce Manager guidance on DSDLink, Retailer Email, Brand Management Email, etc.
  • Actively research emerging categories and suppliers to find opportunities to enhance our portfolio
  • Meet with potential suppliers to determine if there is a fit and if so, work together to develop a successful launch plan
  • Inventory/Forecasting support, seasonal item depletions, pricing review, SKU review and input into product forecasting for inventory.
  • Develop, track, and monitor critical path performance standards (KOI’s) for Brand Management Team (Performance Pays)
  • Provide brand/package additions and deletions. Daily SKU Updates to all Sales Personnel through Forecasting Coordinators
  • Check inventory levels and monitor product quality according to company and supplier standards.
  • Ensure communication between marketing, sales and inventory management
  • Work with corporate services to ensure all supplier funding and credits are received and any issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure supplier and company marketing funds are spent as effectively as possible at the local level to position the brands and the company to win market share
  • Measure the effectiveness of local marketing activity, determine/recommend if corrective action is necessary
  • Monitor and track sales execution.
  • Conduct sales meetings.
  • Survey current and recommend pricing according to supplier and sales manager guidelines.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree (Desired, but not required)
Experience: 2-4 Years
Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and presentation skills.
Certificates & Licenses: Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC); Valid Driver’s Licenses.
Other Requirements: Must pass physical, drug screen, background check and motor vehicle report must meet insurance company guidelines.
