The Role:   

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Enterprise Data and Integrations, the Senior BI developer’s primary role will be to expand the company’s use of data as a strategic enabler of company and group objectives.    

This role will involve gathering user requirements, preparing data, and developing reports and dashboards accordingly. In this position, the candidate will build and maintain Power BI solutions that transform data into knowledge and provide insights via dashboards and reports.  

Responsibilities:  

• Helps to define new and forward-thinking business intelligence and data management strategies.   
• Consult with end users on business needs, translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interface with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of company reporting and analytics.  
• Manage requests for data from internal and external clients, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.  
• Build and maintain BI and Analytics solutions that transform data into knowledge and provide insights via interactive and simple-to-understand dashboards and reports.  
• Define and modify logical and physical data warehouse design, ensuring data quality.  
• Develop and support ELT/ETL processes utilizing SSIS and Azure Data Factory to transform data.  
• Create curated data sets (data warehouses, data marts, OLAP cubes, data lakes, etc.) for consumption.  
• Build and maintain large data sets in the cloud (data lakes, delta lakes, etc.).  
• Develop and maintain an enterprise-ready Power BI cloud environment.  

• 5+ years of relevant experience and a degree in Computer Science (or related field).  
• Proficiency in data visualization design and experience in data compilation, cleansing, interpretation, and staging.  
• Experience developing Power BI in an enterprise environment is required.  
• Experience working in Azure, AWS, or other cloud technologies.  
• Experience with ETL / ELT tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory).  
• Experience with data warehouse concepts and OLAP cubes (SSAS).  
• Expertise in writing and tuning SQL.  
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus, not required.  
• Working experience with attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
