Senior Back-End Software Engineer

Job Overview:

This Senior Backend Software Engineer will be a key member of the Digital team which is instrumental in delivering mission critical customer facing software. This individual has a passion for continuous learning and using technology to solve problems at their root. The person in this role will work directly with the Product Manager and stakeholders to create software that revolutionizes the home buying, selling, and refinancing processes.

Responsibilities:

•Design and develop native cloud applications using the C#/.NET Framework

•Create automated unit and integration tests

•Design and support API Integrations with various 3rd parties that enable and optimize business processes

•Develop and mentor team members

Required Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree required

•5+ years of experience

•Strong skills in C# and .NET Framework

•Ability to design and implement a quality system from scratch

•Experience with SQL DBs such as SQL Server, Oracle DB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Maria DB or NoSQL DBs such as Mongo DB and Redis DB

•Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications:

•8+ years of experience

•Experience with public facing websites is highly preferred

•Understanding of pub-sub or other queuing patterns

•Mastery of at least one language and tech stack

•Good knowledge of the MERN (Mongo DB, Express JS, React JS, Node JS) stack or similar alternatives such as MEAN (Mongo, Express, Angular, Node)

•Good knowledge of Typescript or JavaScript and some experience with React, Angular, or Vue

•Knowledgeable of common software patterns and anti-patterns

•Good knowledge of Azure of other cloud-based systems such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud

•Good understanding of hardware, software, and transfer protocols and their interactions

•Good knowledge of scale and performance considerations

•Good knowledge of common security hazards (e.g. OWASP top 10 list)

•Strong ability to develop and mentor others

•Understanding of what product is driving towards and clearly understands the ultimate business goal

•Deep understanding of cloud services and processes

•Experience with C# .Net Framework/.NetCore

•Experience with microservice architectures

•Experience with financial technologies

•Knowledge of the mortgage, realty, and/or insurance industries
