The Role

The Senior Back-End Engineer role is focused on designing, implementing, and managing our cloud-based systems and applications alongside our Engineering & DevOps teams. In this role, you'll work alongside our VP of Engineering to help shape the future of our suite of Git tools and services.

What you’ll bring:

• 8+ years of experience in a Software or Platform Engineering role building cloud applications at scale
• 3+ years of experience working with modern container orchestration frameworks such as ECS, EKS, GKE, etc.. 
• 3+ years of experience working with one of the “Big 3” cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). 
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability best practices
• Considerable experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with Event Driven Architectures backed by a message/queuing system such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, etc.
• Proficient programming in one or more of the following languages: Go, TypeScript
• Experience working with modern database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, etc.
• Experience working with remote agile teams

Bonus Points:

• We use AWS as our cloud provider
• Golang is our preferred programming language
• We use GitHub Actions
• We use Kafka
