The Sr. AWS Cloud Engineers will be responsible for the following duties:
• Provide automated, cloud-native pattern solutions primarily to the public cloud service provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS) using deep technical knowledge in core areas pertaining to AWS, cloud-native automation, and DevOps solutions.
• Engineer and develop best practice Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation solutions for customers leveraging technologies, including but not limited to HashiCorp, Terraform, Cloud Formation, CDK constructs, and Ansible.
• Engineer automation solutions including Containers, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and CodePipeline.
• Deploy and manage AWS organizations, accounts, service control policies, and VPCs.
• Leverage agile and scrum methodologies while operating as part of a team.
• Provide engineering and consulting services to customers around AWS core services, clouding networking, IAM, databases, etc.
• Create and customize the application deployment pipeline.
• Develop custom code artifacts for future reuse and assist with defining standards.
• Organize code repositories for modular use in custom customer use cases.
• Mentor and coach junior developers.
• Utilize a variety of tools and technologies including Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, Amazon EKS, Kubernetes, CI/CD Pipelines, Git, GitHub, GitLab, Linux, and SDLC concepts.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree in computer science or related technology field plus 3 years DevOps experience deploying automated cloud solutions using CI/CD Pipelines and Kubernetes in an agile environment . Alternatively, CDW will accept 5 years DevOps experience deploying automated cloud solutions using CI/CD Pipelines and Kubernetes in an agile environment. AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification also required.
The job is based out of CDW's Vernon Hills, IL headquarters but the employee may work remotely from anywhere in the U.S . Salary: $$150,000 to $180,000. Multiple openings are available. Please apply via this website .
