Position Summary-
Kidwell is a regional integrator of professional audio & video technologies that empower organizations to better communicate with their target audience. We help our clients succeed by installing and supporting solutions that improve communications, collaboration, and content creation.
The AV Systems Technician will implement and help install solutions for corporate and educational clients. This includes remaining up to date on industry best practices, new system configurations, and new A/V solutions.
What You’ll Do-
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage electronic and A/V systems. This includes:
- Entertainment sound/video solutions in performing arts centers or school gyms
- Paging systems in schools and businesses
- Complete conference room design with audio and video capabilities
- Teach clients how to operate and manage the newly installed equipment
- Train and develop a group of installers that will assist with on-site instillation's
- Work with a project manager to manage proposals including coordination of installers and tracking of time and materials
- Provide technical support to Kidwell employees and clients in any areas of expertise
- Research new products to remain current on technology solutions
- Travel occasionally for training's and customer needs
- All other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate
Do You Have What It Takes? -
- Candidates must be self-motivated, resourceful, and problem solvers
- 2-5 Years of experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Comprehensive A/V background, including knowledge on system design, theory, and best practices
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
- AutoCAD and Visio experience are preferred
- Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, BSS, or similar programming experience
- InfoComm CTS certification preferred
- Ability to lift, push, carry up to 40lbs and climb ladders 10’ tall
- A valid driver’s license is required
