We primarily cover Upstate and the North Country in New York State utilizing our offices located in Rochester, Ogdensburg, and Philadelphia NY along with both our skilled people and technology.
Job Summary
The Senior Auditor is responsible for managing the outsourced audit function, ensuring the efficient completion of accurate audits, managing the coordination of tasks, collecting requested documents from appropriate staff, and maintaining levels of auditing quality for the company.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
- Planning and designing auditing projects and necessary tasks to be completed.
- Assigning roles to various members of the team.
- Ensuring standards of quality and accuracy are maintained in audits.
- Meeting with management and stakeholders to discuss findings and audit outcomes.
- Overseeing staff and acting as a middleman for team needs and requirements.
- Assisting in the auditing process as and when required.
- Submitting audits and reports in a timely manner for further analysis by management.
- Remaining up to date with developments in relevant regulations and legislation and the field in general.
- Tracking audit findings and making sure responses are delivered timely.
- Assign audit findings to the appropriate department/personnel and follow-up to assure resolution.
- Responsible for communicating findings and suggestions to all levels of management.
- Validate and document remediation issues and improvement opportunities, as well as work together with process owners to develop practical recommendations.
- Preparing, and reviewing work papers of other auditors to ensure that quality and objectives of audits are achieved.
Required Education and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or commerce.
- At least 3 years' experience as a bank auditor, with a working knowledge of different financial software.
- Knowledge of auditing best practices and internal control measures.
- An in-depth understanding of financial compliance and regulations.
- Must be able to assess the work of outsourced audit teams and set audit specifications.
- Must be able to identify problems and prioritize situations which require urgent attention.
- Knowledge of project and team management principles. required to have advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially knowledge of Excel, Word
- An eye for detail and the ability to analyze large volumes of data.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment
Onsite preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
