AT A GLANCE

RVO Health is seeking a talented and motivated Senior HR Operations Associate to help support our benefits and compliance programs. This is a cross-functional role that requires close collaboration with other members of the Human Capital and HR Operations team, as well as close alignment with Legal and Finance.

Where You'll Be

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do

  • Be knowledgeable and work to ensure understanding of immigration policies as they apply to the company’s employment of foreign nationals (e.g., H-1B visas) and the I-9 program. 
  • Partner with human capital team, benefit vendors, finance, accounting and legal departments. 
  • Assist in the compilation and creation of benefits and annual governmental reporting such as ACA, Form 5500, EEO-1, VEVRA, Affirmative Action Plan, Immigration and DACA programs.  
  • Design compliance management models and document compliance requirements related to control flow, privacy, trust, monitoring, and licensing
  • Assist with day-to-day administration, compliance and reporting of benefit programs, policies and procedures. 
  • Contribute to the planning and development of compliance and benefit programs by tracking regulatory changes and conducting research on specific policies
  • Report and address benefits and compliance issues and create time-sensitive response guidelines that will help us address and mitigate threats
  • Subject matter expert on benefit programs, corporate policies and practices in support of cross functional teams.
  • Adept in project managing compliance programs, audits, and confidential documentation. 
  • Assist the Compliance and Benefits Manager with conducting audits to evaluate whether our practices and procedures adhere to current laws and government regulations
  • Acts as liaison to the health, welfare, and 401(k) third party administrators
  • Analyze data and procedures and provide reports periodically to identify risks or non-conformity issues. 
  • Support annual open enrollment and other operational initiatives.
  • Coordinate meetings, mandatory trainings and manage trackers as needed across operations.
  • Analyze potential operational and process improvement
  • Liaise with representatives from legal, tax, technology, audit as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ Benefits and Compliance experience
  • Expert understanding of self-insured and fully insured Health and Welfare Benefit Plans, Ancillary, Retirement Plans, and the accompanying laws and regulations associated with each
  • Knowledge of national health care policies, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA and associated reporting requirements
  • Well-versed understanding of governmental regulations specific to employment eligibility (e.g., I9s and steps necessary to employ foreign nationals).
  • Knowledge of the federal employment programs, specifically: OFCCP, AAP, EEO-1 and VEVRAA.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, focus on researching relevant information, provide an accurate assessment or conclusion based on researched information. 
  • Demonstrated success in supporting diverse teams in a fast-paced, agile business environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to write or speak about complicated benefit issues in small and large groups
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and the highest standards for accuracy and precision
  • Ability to strike a balance between project and program management and day to day execution and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and employee privacy.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and similar HRIS software a plus
  • Experience administering benefits and with compliance programs internationally a plus

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $61,800 - $75,000
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
