Reporting into the VP, Finance Transformation, this role will support the Finance Transformation team and others across the Finance organization to implement the strategy that will shape the Finance function of the future. Our business is rapidly growing, and so increased agility is paramount to allow adaptation to a changing environment.
You will support project implementation and delivery of key strategic change projects that are part of a multi-year Finance Transformation program that oversees the implementation of the future Finance technology architecture, identifies process improvements, and evaluates the impact to the organization. This role will help execute transformation initiatives that increase operational efficiency across Finance and related functions and support ongoing efforts already underway. This role will be aligned to our Jersey City office on a hybrid basis.
What You Will Do:
- Support the Finance Transformation team to enhance existing or implement new systems, improve processes, and identify best practices and help realign the Finance organization to the future state.
- Support project management and execution of key strategic change initiatives across the Finance organization by assisting in requirements analysis, identifying, and tracking issues and actions to completion, developing project plans and timelines and monitoring progress, and other project management support tasks.
- Actively participate in meetings and use your experience to help guide discussions, ask questions and propose potential solutions.
- Participate in the development of governance and communication on progress of Finance Transformation initiatives.
- Support testing of proposed system changes.
- Monitor change management initiatives including development of management dashboards and KPI's to baseline and measure Finance efficiency and change adoption.
- Collaborate across Finance, IT, business and other key functions.
- Other related duties as business needs emerge.
What You Will Have:
- University degree required with emphasis on Finance, Accounting or Business.
- 3- 5 years of professional experience in financial reporting requirements with a preference for Investment Accounting, Life & Annuity, Financial Planning and Analysis or Capital Management in the insurance or reinsurance industry preferred.
- Previous experience in project management, process improvement and Finance systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong analytical and data mining skills and ability to adopt a creative approach to solving complex process problems.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and has ability to work independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience with PowerPoint presentations.
- Ability to navigate MS Office applications including MS Excel and MS Word.
The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.
