Job Summary
The Senior Associate Data Analyst is primarily responsible for executing moderately complex data management tasks. This position maintains the data integrity of engineering data across multiple systems and databases. This role will also have the opportunity to learn and develop data and analytics skills to contribute on more advanced projects.
Performs a range of straightforward assignments. Acts as a resource for team members with less experience. Established knowledge of fundamental theories, principles and practices in the area of specialization. Exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to solve problems of moderate complexity; seeks assistance in resolving more complex issues. Works under a moderate level of supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide companywide technical support for HSE systems
  • Key focus areas include: EHS Insight site modification and maintenance, HSE Systems development, HSE Incident data tracking/trending, Peer Data Tracking, Emission data trending development, Inspection/Audit Tracking, and various other HSE workflow duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with HSE teams and Operation to create moderately complex datasets, visualizations, and tools (injury trends, emission data,spill metrics, and other metrics as assigned)
  • Maintain regular communication with specialized external software and systems consultants, and work collaboratively with IT Department on critical HSE systems upgrades and integrations
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and continual improvement of internal HSE policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines that relate to HSE systems.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to track, monitor, and report on HSE metrics including various Asset Operations teams and field staff
  • Provide high level HSE systems support to internal user groups including remote trainings, field trainings/demonstrations, and instructional support material

Skills and Competencies
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Tibco Spotfire, PowerBI, Microsoft Office, SAP, Siteview, Alteryx, Data Bricks, and SQL

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience within the Oil and Gas industry working as a Data Analyst, Engineering Tech, Engineering Specialist, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, IT Analyst or related role
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Science/Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related degree
  • Proficient or experienced in the following programs: Tibco Spotfire, PowerBI, Microsoft Office, SAP, Siteview, Alteryx, Data Bricks, and SQL

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
