Senior Asset Manager - Pjm

A key Optimus power generation client is looking for an experienced Asset Managerwith PJM expertise. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to maximize revenue, manage risks, and enhance the overall profitability of the power generation assets. PJM experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide essential analysis in wholesale power markets including PJM, NYISO, ISONE and ERCOT to support portfolio optimization and expansion
• Collect, analyze and present commercial and operational data to management to explain performance and variances to forecast.
• Provide clear market analysis to assist in decision making for daily bidding and hedging strategies for energy, capacity, emissions and other applicable products as needed
• Develop expert knowledge of project contracts to manage obligations and minimize risk
• Manage 3rd party vendor relationships with all applicable commercial service providers
• Work with Commercial Analytics team to develop and maintain valuation tools used to evaluate existing projects and identify new investment opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Strong analytical expertise, particularly in Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of US natural gas, electric, and emissions markets, including supply and demand, market structure, and regulatory fundamentals.
• Excellent understanding of power markets and their fundamental drivers, with PJM specific knowledge required.
• Experience supporting effective modeling of project finance transactions within the power generation sector as a part of the broader commercial team.
