Senior Asset & Liability Analyst (Onsite)
If your career in treasury finance is off to a great start and you possess experience in balance sheet management, our well capitalized, multibillion dollar Hawaii-based client bank is looking for a strong Sr. Asset & Liability Analyst. Our firm specializes in placing accounting and finance professionals in Community and Small Regional Banks all over the United States. It’s what we do, it’s all we do.
This key position reports directly to a very sharp Asset & Liability Manager and you will conduct regular analysis of the corporation's interest rate risk and assist both your manager and the Treasurer in developing balance sheet strategies to enhance earnings, all while keeping an eye on managing risk, liquidity, and capital. This is a well-regarded position, and you will regularly collaborate with various lines of business to identify net income opportunities and develop tools for use in budgeting and planning as well as loan and deposit pricing. You will also be preparing and analyzing earnings per share forecasts and net economic value sensitivity calculations which are then used to help set the strategic direction of the corporation. Being a strong communicator is paramount in this role as well. Having the technical aptitude, yet with the ability to put complex concepts into laymen’s terms, is paramount in this role.
You must have banking experience, a quantitative mindset, and be a comfortable, solid, down-to-earth communicator. You will be very involved in running the model (QRM), thus the need for possessing balance sheet management expertise in a bank setting. We are looking for three to five years plus of total experience. If you don’t possess the QRM experience, Bancware or Empyrean expertise will be considered as well. A blend of the quantitative and qualitative attributes is key.
Despite being a Senior ALM Analyst role, the compensation is strong to offset the cost of living in Hawaii, coupled with a solid relocation package.
