Summary:
To support the IM US organization with contract preparation and the accurate and timely administration of discount agreements. This entails contract authoring research, draft amendments, contract interpretation and system entry; validating chargebacks and membership; rebate payment adjudication.
Responsibilities:
Process Expert/Lead - Maintain a high degree of contract drafting accuracy. Work closely with operational stakeholders to ensure seamless transition of the contract from inception to implementation. Evaluate and interpret contracts to ensure correct setup of products, pricing, chargeback, and membership terms. Create and maintain Indirect/Direct membership information in Model N and SAP. Conduct Class of Trade research to support Government Pricing calculations. Serve as subject matter expert for the department and leverage knowledge of system and chargeback/membership expertise to drive priorities, project development quality/speed, and compliance. Manage and/or coordinate special projects.
Business Partnering - Support contract strategy feasibility discussions with IM US contract teams. Demonstrate effective prioritization to ensure document turnaround times within agreed-upon timelines. Partner with the Government Pricing team to ensure accurate pricing calculations. Communicate with wholesalers, GPO, LTC, Specialty Groups, HIBCC, IMS, and HRSA to determine member eligibility. Partner with Market Access to support the implementation of new strategies. Work with teams in remote locations both inside and outside the U.S. to achieve department objectives.
Team Leadership/Meeting Facilitation - Conduct meetings to achieve issue resolution within the department, with internal customers, wholesalers, specialty distributors, LTC, and GPOs. Maintain systems and logs to track contracts, rebate, chargebacks, and membership issues for accurate reporting to management.
Data Analytics/Super User: Designated resource within department to be the expert on all systems and programs. Provide expertise in testing, troubleshooting, as well as identifying errors and process efficiencies.
Quality Assurance - Ensure adherence to all standard operating procedures and SOX requirements. Ensure communication to management about identified risks to the department and organization. Identify any areas for improvement and provide actionable feedback.
Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance for this job will be measured)
  • Timeliness targets for contract authoring, contract entry, chargeback processing, membership maintenance, and rebate payments are achieved each month
  • Accuracy targets for contract entry, chargeback processing, membership maintenance, and rebate payments are achieved each month
  • Fulfillment of objectives and service level agreements achieved
  • Well organized, compliant, innovative, and collaborative team environment is sustained

Education (minimum/desirable):
  • BA/BS degree or Equivalent 4-year degree required. Focus in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.

Languages:
  • Mastery of the English language (written and oral)

Experience/Professional requirement:
  • > 2 years' experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Familiarization with contract authoring, chargeback adjudication, rebate processing, membership, and contract maintenance preferred

Technical Knowledge/Professional Competencies
  • Working knowledge of class of trade and customer identifiers
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical product discount contracts with various healthcare providers
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency with life science applications. Model N. Deal Management and SAP a plus

Leadership/Organizational Skills
  • Demonstrate persistent follow through and ability to juggle shifting priorities with ease
  • Superior proof reading and organizational skills; detail oriented and self-directed
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize workload and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to research and respond to complex customer issues with reasoned judgment
  • Strong collaboration, communication and negotiating skills
  • Strong leadership, motivation skills with ability to influence without direct responsibility
  • Strong project and process management experience
  • Results-oriented ability to deliver under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to train and coach others

Location: Hybrid; East Hanover, NJ
Contract: 12 months
Pay range: $35-$55/hr
