The Senior Analyst, Analytics & Insights will be an active member of Planet Fitness’ Analytics & Insights team and will be responsible for business reporting and analytical support of key business decisions. As our Senior Analyst, Analytics & Insights, you will ensure all metrics and reporting are consistently defined and executed and will work to proactively identify business risks and opportunities. The Senior Analyst, Analytics & Insights will also develop strategies to maximize business performance across all functional areas that sets the strategic direction and operating priorities for Planet Fitness.

• Take a lead role in business reporting by thoughtfully identifying, defining, and implementing key performance indicators that give business leaders valuable insights into business performance trends.
• Manage strategic initiatives, evaluate and prioritize alternatives, develop cost benefit analysis, and provide actionable recommendations.  Prepare, deliver, and have ownership of presentations and dashboards for the Executive Leadership Team & Franchisee base.
• Support the Analytics and Insights team and functional business leaders with ad-hoc analytic requests, including emerging business opportunities, acquisitions, joint ventures, etc., as needed.
• Work closely with IT to systematize / automate existing and new reporting.
• Partner closely with Finance, Development, Operations, and Marketing to collect and synthesize information, assess needs, and develop action plans.
• Consult with business operations to identify, plan, and track strategic and financial opportunities across the organization to meet our long-term objectives.
• Establish and enforce data consistency and accuracy for key metrics across the organization.
• Provide thought leadership on ways of improving our overall services to our members.
• Responsible for tracking, research, and running analyses of industry and competition. This includes, but is not limited to, collecting, analyzing, and preparing reports on pricing, openings, closings, industry news, etc.
• Support the Analytics and Insights team and functional business leaders in testing initiatives, including but not limited to, implementation, measurement, and Test & Learn analytics.
• Develop and launch new solutions and ensure revenue and member satisfaction goals are met.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related data-focused field; MBA preferred
• 5+ years of overall experience in consulting, strategy, finance, or another analytics-related role with a proven experience developing data-driven analyses
• Experience with recurring revenue and/or subscription-based revenue model preferred
• Experience working with executive leadership preferred
• Excellent technical knowledge including:
  • Strong Financial modeling and data analysis skills
  • Experience with reporting packages and data management/warehouse tools strongly preferred
  • Exceptional MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • MasterCard Test and Learn, a plus
• Superior analytical, reporting, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems and effectively communicate findings in a highly digestible format
• Experience with Sequel and/or other databases a plus
• Creative problem-solver who has an intuitive ability to identify gaps and is innovative in developing new ideas to fill those gaps
• Motivated self-starter with a high level of independent judgement and initiative
• Highest level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines
• Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
• Able to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders – understanding and synthesizing needs, prioritizing work, seeking feedback, and communicating progress
