GovCIO is currently hiring a Senior Agile Team Coach / Project Manager to direct and deliver a wide range of projects supporting the Air Force BlueSCI network. This position will be located in San Antonio TX and will be an on-site position.
In this position we are looking for an experienced coach to help transition existing work practices to a full embrace of agile methodology, from the top down. In this role you will utilize the Kanban methodology and will as a key figure for one or more Agile Teams. This position will conduct daily stand-up meetings and facilitate retrospectives and ensure they deliver value to the Agile Teams. You will engage with multiple team members and work closely with the Release Train Engineer. You will maintain the Kanban boards (Epics/Themes/Stories/Tasks) within the enterprise SNOW visual task boards.
- Must be an expert in agile project management methodologies and traditional project management functions.
- Develops project scope, backlog, and work schedules according to project requirements.
- Responsible for cost estimation and control.
- Monitors project progress and makes adjustments as needed.
- Coordinates interdepartmental participation to meet project requirements.
- Maintains lines of communication among project team members and stakeholders.
- May be responsible for risk management.
- Must be available to address the needs of the project effort.
- May have acquired CAPM, Project Management Professional (PMP), or Agile certifications.
- Reports project progress to key stakeholders.
- Responsible for addressing employee and work-related issues relevant to the project effort.
- Arranges logistics for meetings and other project-related events.
- Organizes project committee meetings and prepares the necessary materials, including reports, presentations, agendas and other meeting collateral.
- Transcribes and records key decisions and action items resulting from meetings.
- Must be capable of performing various financial analytics including forecasting and variance analysis.
- Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to the project.
- Manage and provide oversight on assigned Enterprise, IT projects.
- Ensure adequate resources are assigned and aligned with service delivery and FOC criteria.
- Develop comprehensive project plan for all requirements/projects to include planning, quality control, direction, coordination, deliverables submissions and reviews.
- Provide weekly status updates to the contract, flight, and team lead.
- Create, maintain and dispose of task-related records and supporting documentation.
- Schedule all meetings that are pertinent to project planning and development
- Bachelor's degree with 9 + years (or commensurate experience)
- MUST have an active PMP or Agile certification.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience managing IT projects.
- Excellent written/verbal communications skills
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI verified eligibility active on Day 1

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
