How You Will Contribute
The Senior Advisor to the CFO& VP of Operations will provide executive level support and leadership to the CFO and VP of Operations. The Senior Advisor to the CFO& VP of Operations will be part executive associate, part gatekeeper, part problem solver, part project manager and part all-round strategic partner to implement strategy, advise, and coordinate amongst the CFO and VP of Operations and the various division departments. The role will have both internal and external facing responsibility, including advisory, collaboration, logistics, and operations (including issue advocacy, administrative work, and internal and external events and communication).
Specifically, you will:
- Organize and facilitate key CFO and VP of Operations priorities, strategically respond to and prioritize the high-volume demand for the CFO and VP of Operations time, ensuring that they focus on the most impactful areas to drive organizational growth and impact.
- Act as the executive associate and support the task of managing the CFO and VP Of Operations calendar, presentations and other priorities.
- Take regular reports from staff and departments, and takes steps to ensure maximum efficiency, harmony, and good workflow. Inform the CFO and VP of Operations on progress and issues found.
- Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CFO and VP of Operations informed of all critical issues.
- Participate in the CFO and VP of Operations internal and external communications, both written and spoken. Draft and oversee external communications, as necessary.
- Disseminate information and communicate ideas on behalf of the CFO and VP of Operations.
- Respond on behalf of the CFO and VP of Operations, as appropriate, to issues that arise, both internal and external. Facilitate communication across all departments.
- Work to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they bubble up to the CFO and VP of Operations.
- Ensure that the CFO and VP of Operations is prepared for meetings and events.
- Manage various special projects for the division to include procurement, travel card and other as assigned.
- Support the CFO and VP of Operations, division leaders and management of those members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your background and experience include:
- Must have 7+ years of business or executive management experience and at least one year of experience in a similar position.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and knack for productive collaboration across carrying programs.
- Detail-oriented and data-driven.
- Possess an encouraging, can-do attitude.
- Impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Business minded and a strategic planner.
- Proven problem solver who can make clear-headed decisions while under pressure with proficiency, diplomacy and professionalism.
- Highly experienced with project management.
- Self-directed with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and complete discretion when working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, video conference, and internet research skills.
Position and Compensation Details
- The SALARY for this position is between $93,000-95,000.
- This position is FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, and 35 hours per week.
- This position reports to CFO & VP of Operations
- Physical requirements:
- Able to remain stationary for extended periods of time, to utilize computers and other office equipment required of this job, to perform physically administrative duties in a typical interior office environment, gallery, or exhibit space, and to access most public and staff areas of the museum campus
- COVID-19 vaccination required.
- Background check required after a conditional job offer is made. Consideration of the background check will be tailored to the requirements of the job.
