Senior Acquisition Support Specialist

Position Summary
Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for Senior Acquisition Specialists supporting the Space Systems Command (SSC) Military Communication and Positioning, Navigation and Timing Directorate (CG) in the United States Space Force. This position will support the SSC/CG program office as it rapidly premier capabilities resilient to the threat by the relentless pursuit of warfighter needs and acquisition excellence
This is a full-time opportunity located at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA

Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform market research and provide acquisition strategy recommendations
• Advise and assist in organizing and establishing Integrated Product Teams
• Analyze progress against program plan and schedule
• Evaluate program plan for compliance with applicable DoD and Air Force policies and guidance
• Apply critical thinking and experience to develop solutions for our customer's most challenging issues;
• Develop strategic briefings and reports that summarize technical and programmatic risks, issues, and accomplishments;
• Manage information requests, inquiries, and tasks through completion;
• Perform research and analysis that summarize relevant issues, incorporate policy and guidance, address government, industry, and international partner perspectives to provide recommendations and/or potential courses of action;
• Support customer meetings, which includes producing read-ahead materials, drafting meeting minutes, and tracking assigned action items.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics or a related field

• 10+ years prior experience within the acquisition experience, preferably within USSF
• APDP Level II certification, PMP certification, or ability to obtain PMP certification

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Education: Master's degree or higher in Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, Statistics or a related field.

• 15+ years prior experience within the acquisition experience, preferably within USSF
• 6+ year experience using Task Management Tool (TMT)
• APDP Level III certification and/or PMP certification
• Experience with a working/operating in a SCIF environment

Additional Information:

• Duty location is on a military base / Government base
• Occasional travel within the CONUS

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
