Senior Accounts Receivable

SUMMARY
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Senior Accounts Receivable is to provide detailed Accounts Receivable/bookkeeping functions for assigned accounts/clients. May be asked to assist with special projects as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate customer invoicing and accurately record, verify, and post payments received by the company.
• Ensure transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in accordance with internal accounting practices and policies.
• Analyze/research Accounts Receivable, proactively identify collection issues and develop solutions to assure on time AR collection.
• Proactively interface with customers and internal salespeople to drive AR collection.
• Assist Accounting Supervisor and provide training and coaching to junior AR clerks.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and business-like manner.
• Provide complete and accurate monthly financial reporting and tax reporting as needed.
• Demonstrate responsibility regarding the care, condition, safe handling and securing of all company equipment, and property always.
• Maintain professionalism, integrity, security, image and confidentiality of information and records as required by the position.

QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• High school diploma / GED is required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an office environment with a focus on accounting clerk duties
• Attention to detail and proficiency with mathematics required
• Work well in fast paced environment
• Exercise solid organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of computerized accounting systems
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
• Ability to always work with respect and cooperation when working/interacting with fellow employees and customers
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
• MS Office specifically Excel Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions preferred
