Our client, a large beverage retailer, is looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist to support their Finance and Procurement department for a four-month-long project. As the Senior Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for communicating with partners and suppliers to convert suppliers to electronic means of invoice submission. This role requires working independently towards deliverable targets through effective communication and maintaining an Excel supplier tracker. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting experience, strong communication skills and an ability to work in ambiguity.

Senior Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the transition of suppliers from paper-based processes to digital platforms.
• Manage the submission of invoices through digital forms.
• Work closely with, and support suppliers in the smooth migration from physical to the new digital format.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with suppliers throughout the transition process.
• Analyze data to determine best processing methods per supplier.
• Make recommendations and solutions to leadership to support solving pain points and roadblocks and driving process improvements.

Senior Accounting SpecialistQualifications:

• 2-5 years of accounting-related experience, especially the understanding of accounts payables, electronic invoicing, and matching POs.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing effectively across all levels of the business and with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including understanding formulas and an understanding of macros is a plus.
• Functional knowledge and understanding of ERP systems with 2-3 years of relevant experience; experience with Oracle, Ariba, or Symbio is a plus.
• Capability to navigate in ambiguous situations comfortably.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
• Strong multitasking abilities, capable of balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Adept at working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
