The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in our accounting department, providing accounting support and financial analysis within Red Bull North America (RBNA) and Red Bull Distribution Company (RBDC). You will maintain records of all financial transactions by reconciling accounts and posting transactions for two Red Bull entities. The Senior Accountant will work with the accounting managers for both entities. You must be detail-oriented professional able to manage complex financial data and providing accurate financial information to support decision-making. Job Description
MANAGER DAILY OPERATIONS
Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP and IFRS
Maintain leases under GAAP & IFRS for RBDC in SAP ERP system. Approximately 230+ warehouses across the US
Prepare and reconcile RBDC monthly payments for all warehouses and storage units
Coordinate with Real Estate team and landlords to resolve discrepancies
Manage coding database and posting for consolidations from 3rd party vendors
Work with the AP team and RBDC controllers to ensure all assets purchased are properly capitalized
Process West business units billbacks for 3rd party distributors
DRIVE MONTHLY ACCOUNTING CLOSE PROCESS
Review/post accruals for RBNA West business unit
Reconcile West business unit American Express CMC card
Reconcile West business unit rent payments
Review and process West business unit Partnership agreements for on-premise accounts
Review and post accruals and monthly reclass files for RBDC
Reconcile RBDC and RBNA West business unit balance sheet accounts
Post RBDC fixed asset depreciation
Prepare Fixed Asset Roll forward and Lease Liability reports for Tax team
Submit month-end data to Hyperion reporting for the 3 RBNY entities
AUDIT SUPPORT
Facilitate interim and year-end audit requests.
Prepare audit request items for the assigned items during audit
Review audit support prepared by Staff Accountant’s for all US legal entities
Prepare GAAP financials according to GAAP for one Red Bull entity to be printed by external auditors
AD-HOC RESPONSIBILITIES
Help develop new processes to increase efficiency for the growing business
Conduct special accounting projects as assigned by management
Provide Tax team with any reports needed for planning or external audits
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Finance or accounting from an accredited college or university is required.
5 years of accounting experience; public accounting experience/CPA a plus
Solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS
Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables and V-Lookups)
Experience with ERP systems is required, and SAP knowledge is preferred.
First, supervisory or management responsibilities are beneficial but not required.
Proven track record in effectively communicating with all levels of an organization.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to take initiative with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
Team player in a multicultural environment with strong interpersonal skills
Robust work ethic and willing to work extra hours and weekends during quarter-end and year-end closes to meet deadlines.
Additional Information
The base salary range for this position is $77,900 to $86,100 + cash incentives Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
