Job description
HEICO Component Repair Group is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for its FAA-approved Repair Station based in Miami, Florida.
The Senior Accountant position is responsible for assisting the Controller as outlined below:
Prepare and post month-end journal entries
Prepare and analyze month-end and quarterly account analysis, including bank reconciliations and intercompany general ledger accounts
Assist in the preparation of supplemental schedules for monthly financial statements and Corporate reporting
Assist with preparation of the annual budget
Assist with monthly cycle counts and annual inventory
Maintain and update fixed assets, including CIP/Tooling, and conduct fixed asset inventory
Assist with preparation Capital Expenditure Requirements
Assist with review of vendor payment packages including checks, wires and ACH's
Address Corporate and Audit questions and provide requested information
Interact with A/P and A/R staff
Perform other duties, as required
Requirements:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university required.
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a finance or accounting role.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES
Communication: Language: English and Spanish; Excellent both verbal and written communication skills.
Computer Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Word
Mathematical Skills: Commensurate with college Finance/Accounting.
Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary, with minimal supervisory direction. Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks. Understanding the need for urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to work in a team environment and independently.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, there is regular exposure to light/moderate noise in the office environment. (Examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
