Mission
Ensure the accuracy of financial information by reviewing, reconciling, and maintaining high accounting standards needed for integrity of financial data.
Principle Activities
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by verifying and analyzing financial data.
- Prepare analyses, estimates, and journal entries for month-end close processes.
- Review trial balance detail to ensure accuracy of GL accounts for posted transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, accruals, fixed assets, and other accounts. Ensure accruals are accurately captured for month-end close and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain reconciliations of forecasts and projections for departments.
- Take ownership of analyzing and reporting costs and inventory variances, and work with appropriate department members to achieve understanding and resolution. This includes cost of goods sold/inventory transactions and variances, purchase price variances, and manufacturing variances.
- Oversee accounts payable procedures.
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation.
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and consolidations.
- Assist with margin and profitability metrics analysis.
- Assist with sales tax returns review and validation.
- Develop processes and procedures to improve financial controls and integrity of data; implement changes and measure performance.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills
- Manufacturing experience, understanding of inventory and cost accounting.
- Understanding of internal controls and audit procedures.

Education/ Certification
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or related field.
Required Experience
3-5 years in accounting/finance.
General ledger and/or financial reporting experience.
IFRS experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ERP systems.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel to company manufacturing facility in South Carolina.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.
Must have own transportation and reliable attendance.
