QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master's Degree, a plus
- 8-10 years or more years experience in the accounting field
- Non-Profit & Fund Accounting Experience preferred
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Working knowledge of accounting software, Serenic knowledge a plus
- Proficient in MS Office, especially of Excel
- Analytical ability
- Self-motivated
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
In coordination with the Accounting Supervisor, responsible for all phases of accounting related to DHQ Monitored Funds
- Prepare and enter journal entries as approved by the supervisor of assigned funds.
- Review assigned funds in the GL for accuracy and anomalies monthly. Share the results of the review with the Finance Secretary and Fiscal Controller.
- Separate and distribute monthly report printouts on a timely basis.
- Monthly set up of standard allocation journals for processing.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for assigned accounts
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external audits, consolidation, and Annual Command Review
- Backup to Accounts Receivable Clerk.
- Prepares all Service Unit reports, including, but not limited to, United Way Reports and Revolving Fund Reports and overview.
- Assist as assigned on fiscal closing task.
- Back-up Petty Cash Cashier
- Perform duties for the Cash-Log in Process.
- Prepare annual insurance billings
- Prepare the Balance Sheet Analysis for all DHQ Funds monthly.
- Research all open items in various funds and complete adjustments on a timely basis.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for CFC, as requested
- Process Service Unit Reimbursements and prepare worksheets for UW presentations.
- Review daily cash balances and transfers to THQ for investments and earned interest.
- Attend meetings as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
