Our Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting team is composed of people with backgrounds in SEC reporting and technical accounting. We're hiring a Financial Reporting Accountant, reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting.
In this role, you'll coordinate the preparation of our consolidated group financial statements to ensure reporting compliance of our financial reports filed quarterly with the SEC. You will also have the opportunity to spend time working on technical accounting projects to assist the business with critical accounting analyses to ensure compliance with US GAAP.

To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $109,600 - $146,100
Zone B: $98,600 - $131,500
Zone C: $90,900 - $121,200
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Responsibilities:Be the main driver of our SEC reporting process
Coordinate the quarterly preparation and filing of our 10-Qs, 10-Ks and other SEC required filings
Facilitate the review of our SEC filings by multiple finance partners
Be a reliable partner to our investor relations and legal teams to support them through the earnings process by preparing important deliverables
Monitor changes to SEC and US GAAP reporting requirements, determine the impact to Atlassian, and incorporate them into our reporting
Help assist with technical accounting tasks such as accounting analysis and research
2+ years of experience working in Financial Reporting
4+ years of audit experience with a public accounting firm and/or accounting experience working for a US public company
Knowledge and application of US GAAP
Project management skills
Experience collaborating and working on cross functional teams
Familiarity with Workiva reporting software is a plus
