The NASK Senior Accountant reports directly to the Director of Finance and is responsible for maintaining all payroll, assets, and inventory records for NASK worldwide. Incumbents should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excellent communication, analysis, and organizational skills are required. The incumbent must be comfortable working independently on multiple projects with varying deadlines.
This hybrid position permits working from home two days a week and on the premises at our Virginia Corporate headquarters office.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree - Accounting and/or Finance; equivalent experience above the required minimum may substitute for education
- 15 + years of experience in Accounting and/or
- Active Certified Public Accountant certification preferred
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
Required Qualifications:
- Accounting ERP (such as Deltek CostPoint) experience necessary
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel as a tool to analyze large data sets and complex problems
- Incumbent should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

- Problem solver with the ability to work multiple projects and varying deadlines independently

Responsibilities:
- Reviews and audits the fixed asset schedule for compliance with corporate procurement and authorization polices
- Maintains corporate policies related to assets and inventory and provide annual updates
- Ensures NASK remains compliant with current legislation and regulations worldwide
- Audits accounts payable entries for compliance for asset and inventory procurements
- Prepares and maintains assigned G/L account reconciliations and sub-ledgers
- Prepares and submits property tax reports
- Works with Director of Contracts, Program Managers, and Program Control officers to maintain NASK asset and inventory system of record (WASP)
- Prepares monthly and yearend journal entries
- Develops and maintains NASK inventory processes and procedures
- Serves as senior purchasing official making purchases of products and services for NASK
- Ensures purchases are compliant with contract and other policies and procedures
- Reviews contract expense reports to ensure compliance with contract(s), Joint Travel Regulations, and/ Federal Travel regulations
- Assists and trains employees on entering expense authorizations, advance requests and expense reports
- Provides Customer Service, Research & Problem Solving to employees, vendors, and customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure NASK success worldwide.
