Senior Accountant

### Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our company and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, financial report writing, QuickBooks, Excel and financial management.

Duties:

Month-End Closing Process:

• Initiate and oversee the month-end closing process for multiple companies within our portfolio.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Transition from Cash to Accrual Accounting:

• Lead the transition from cash-based accounting to accrual-based accounting.
• Implement best practices and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze historical data and adjust financial statements accordingly.

Consolidation of Financials:

• Consolidate financial statements for our various business entities.
• Prepare consolidated balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Address intercompany transactions and eliminations.

QuickBooks Expertise:

• Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Set up and maintain company accounts, chart of accounts, and financial records.
• Generate accurate financial reports

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for management.
• Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an accountant, with a focus on month-end closing, consolidation, and QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in GAAP and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with Excel, Vlookups, and pivot tables.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
