Job Description
Northland Control Systems, Inc. is looking for a Senior Accountant in Milpitas, CA.
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant is to support the finance department and Northland Controls by performing a variety of duties such as maintaining the general ledger, reviewing financial statements, preparing financial reports, assisting/leading audits, and account reconciliation. The Senior Accountant will also work with the operations team directly to monitor the project portfolios including revenue billing and expense tracking.

Responsibilities
· Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
· Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.
· Administrative support with accounts receivables and or payables.
· Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
· Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
· Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
· Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
· Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
· Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
· Assisting the Senior Accountant as needed.
· Other duties as directed by the Regional Controller.
Skills
· Basic understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial management
· Good written and communication skills
· Strong analytical, problem solving and time-management skills
· Strong ability to use and learn new systems, financial accounting packages, and reporting software
Required Education/Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
· Working knowledge of GAAP.

Travel
This position may require travel.
