Doeren Mayhew is seeking proactive and eager to learn Senior Accountant to become a member of the Firm's corporate accounting and finance group. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the firm's Controller. The corporate accounting and finance group can be a fast-paced and deadline driven environment at certain points throughout the year, but it's made up of a group of friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate individuals. Responsibilities:

• Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple entities
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for multiple entities
• Record inter-company accounting entries and other journal entries
• Assist with various aspects of the month-end and year-end close process
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and other financial reports
• Backup for the Accounts Payable Associate
• Backup for the Accounts Receivable Associate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of corporate or public accounting experience
• Prior experience in a multi-entity organizational structure a plus
• Hard-working, detail-oriented, and high integrity professional with personable demeanor
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Strong communication skills, both written and orally with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel, SAGE 100 experience is a plus
