Summary/Objective:
Essential Functions:
- Manage general ledger accounting with a heavy focus on order to cash and inventory accounting.
- Oversee the order to cash accounting cycle, and performing related balance sheet account reconciliations monthly for both our eCommerce and retail operations.
- Handle the accounting of sales returns, returns reserve, and reconciliation of related balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Lead all aspects of inventory accounting, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation.
- Review the stock ledger monthly and reconcile between NetSuite and our WMS system.
- Collaborate with operations teams and our external auditors with the annual physical inventory process.
- Account for various accruals as part of the monthly close process, such as sales taxes, advertising expenses, professional fees, and inbound/outbound shipping expenses.
- Import transaction data from diverse sources into NetSuite, exploring opportunities for direct integration of transactional data into our accounting system.
- Review the coding of credit card and bank transactions for accuracy and consistency in account, class, and department coding.
- Reconcile the credit card liability each month.
- Record payroll accounting entries in NetSuite each month.
- Review automated journal entries and prepare manual journal entries as needed for the monthly close.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Assist in managing the year-end audit process.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Excellent analytical, time management and organization skills; meticulous attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA is a plus (not required).
- 5-7 years of GL accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of NetSuite required.
- Experience with Shopify and Manhattan WMS a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs etc.) and the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets and build reports.
- Excellent communication skills.
- eCommerce/retail experience is a strong plus.
