Senior Accountant

RW Rogers Company is currently hiring for a Senior Accountant to operate out of our office in St. Charles, IL. We are a recognized distributor and manufacturer of material handling equipment with a major emphasis in supplying retail, distribution, and garden center industries. We are an established organization with a 45+ year record of fast-paced growth. RW Rogers has an immediate opening for a Senior Accountant who is detail oriented, high energy and enthusiastic about joining our team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and come with a strong foundation of accounting experience. This person will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the general operations of the accounting department, and includes both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This is not a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, and enters all vendor invoices into the system for payment
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements and obtaining authorization of payment
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating variances and communicating with colleagues, customers and vendors via email and phone
• Becomes familiar with a wide variety of inventory and establishes landed cost for goods purchased overseas
• Adds and maintains vendor account information in QuickBooks
• Processes credit applications and keeps record of various forms needed for payment and disbursement
• Receives, reconciles, and processes incoming customer payments daily
• Processes bank deposits daily
• Tracks accounts receivable aging while identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments
• Collaborates with accounting firm and provides end of month reports, basic journal entries and other items, as needed
• Maintains confidentiality of financial information and adheres to company policies
• Works with various customer and vendor portals to facilitate transactions

Qualifications

· 3+ years of accounting experience

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Related Field

· Prior experience working with inventory management software

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Must be proficient with Excel

· Highly proficient with QuickBooks

· Must be willing to commute onsite 5 days/week

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
