Semi-Trailer Repair Technician

```Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CERTIFIED Semi-Trailer Repair Technician for diesel trucks to join our team. As a Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trailers for Semi trucks. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with a variety of tools.

Experience Requirements:

- A minimum of 5 years experience as a Semi Trailer Repair Technician;

-MUST have successfully completed a State or Federal training program or has a CERTIFICATE which qualifies the person to perform commercial vehicle safety inspections;

-Must be able to Perform 90 day BIT Inspections;

- Experience with performing repairs and maintenance on trailers, including but not limited to changing air bags, tire services, repair of all suspension compartments, and fixing roll-up doors;

-Understands and can perform brake service and inspection;

-Must have brake maintenance and inspection training sponsored by a manufacturer or similar commercial training program;

-Conduct electrical troubleshooting;

- Diagnose issues with equipment and machinery to determine the root cause of malfunctions;

- Align and adjust parts as necessary to ensure proper functionality;

- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance tasks; and

-Must have good driving record.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct BIT inspections, changing air bags, and roll up trailer doors;

- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of industrial equipment repair techniques;

- Proficient in using hand tools and other specialized repair equipment;

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks; and

- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
