JOB TITLE:SEL Program Facilitator

DEPARTMENT: Mental Health & Social-Emotional Learning

REPORTS TO: Director of Mental Health & Wellness 

FLSA STATUS: ☑Exempt □Non-Exempt

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

Under the direct guidance of the Director of Mental Health & Wellness, the SEL Program Facilitator has the primary responsibility of delivering social-emotional programming.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): 

1. Engage actively with groups of youth in aftercare and/or summer camp in skill-building, psychoeducational, and supportive activities aimed at increasing their psychological well-being and social-emotional functioning.
2. Keep accurate documentation of all activities, being mindful of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop and implement new activities, projects, and ideas for educating youth about mental wellness.
2. Collect and analyze data on progress and outcomes
3. Contribute to ideas for staff training on mental health challenges, being trauma-informed, sensitivity to diversity, and other related topics.
4. Contribute to ideas for fund-raisers, advocacy, and more.
5. Participate in regular individual and group supervision and SEL Team meetings.
6. Contribute to the daily non-social work activities of the Club when needed.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: 

• Bachelors degree in education, social work, psychology, or related field required
• Two (2) years of experience working with children
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent adherence to structure while being able to maintain flexibility
• Ability to perform well under pressure
• Excellent written and oral communication and collaboration skills 
• Proficient in Google Workspace and/or MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)
• Highly motivated self-starter
