Job Description
PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. has a proud and lengthy history of delivering innovative, challenging, and complex projects. PGH Wong was established in 1985 on its extraordinary foundation in systems engineering and is now a full-service engineering, architecture, construction management, and program/project management consulting firm for public and private entities across the nation.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Review, track, process, and distribute Pre-Construction Deliverables, submittals, RFI’s, RFC’s, design submittals, shop drawings, product data, and work plans. Review submittals, deliverables, and other construction documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Receive records and compile review comments. Maintain a list of submittals, deliverables, and other construction documents.
- Report on the progress of submittals, RFI, and design submittal reviews at progress meetings.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and logs and update all construction prerequisites in Smartsheets.
- Maintain a set of progress prints of all drawings and specifications that include but are not limited to scope and contract drawings, design progress drawings, AFC drawings, shop drawings, contract specifications, and AFC specifications.
- Request from third parties and subcontractors work plans, drawings, safety guidelines, maintenance requirements, training requirements, specifications, estimates, and operational needs. Analyzes data, specifications, and drawings/blueprints. Assist in monitoring work for compliance with schedule, budget, and technical requirements. Review new rules, regulations, and codes for project applicability. Prepare reports, fact sheets, and correspondence. Assist in coordinating services with outside agencies. Maintain project files and records. Interpret contract specifications.
- Attend Field Meetings and Field Pre-Construction Meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Approximately two (2) years of experience working on mid to large construction projects.
- Work on Design-Build projects is desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management or 5 years of experience as a Project Administrator.
- Valid California Class C driver’s license.
