Seeking MD/DO to Work Remotely for Rural Health Medical Clinic - 2 Days Per month in Clinic in Florence Oregon! Flexible on Days/Hours!


Clinical Care – 2 days per month (16 Hours per Month)

Administrative Duties from Home 2 days per month (16 hours per month)


32 Hours of Work Per Month.


$135/HR


$5000 Sign On Bonus, paid first pay period following 90 days of employment with OIH


This position qualifies for the Oregon Loan Repayment Program


JOB DETAILS

  • Rural Health Education specific to the position is paid at 100%.  Set to approval of the Senior Director of Clinic Operations.
  • 8 Holidays Per Year:
    • 7 Clinic Closures, 1 Floating Holiday, eligible immediately upon hire
  • Protected Sick Time accrues 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, max use of 40 per year, available immediately as time accrues after first day of employment
  • Company Laptop to be used for your position.

 

Oregon Integrated Health is an Integrated Primary Care Medical Home that is hiring for a Part Time Medical Doctor with Administrative roles and tasks for our Rural Health Candidate Clinic in Florence Oregon. 

 

You set the Days/Hours to work at our Florence Clinical Location!

 

We pay 50% of your accommodations, food and fitness to see our amazing patients in beautiful Florence Oregon clinic.  The remainder of the month will be for administrative duties in the comfort of your home supported by our Senior Director of Clinic Operations as we apply for our Rural Health Clinic certification.

 

Our Florence clinic sees a demographic of Medicaid and Medicare individuals that are in need for our expansion with community resources that a Rural Health designation will provide. 

 

Our Integrated Medical Home in Florence currently has a team of Family Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Professional Counselor, Medical Assistants, a Community Health Worker, Front Desk and our Senior Director of Clinic Operations.  Our patients have access to Quest Laboratories directly in our facility.  We are also expanding our space to initiate the Vaccine for Children program by September 2023.

 

Oregon Integrated Health recently was awarded a grant for our Mobile Medical Van that will be providing home care visits, mobile telemedicine visits and medical transportation for home bound patients. 

 

We utilize telemedicine visits for patients that are at home as well as telehealth visits – when patients may not have access to data or smart phones patients come to our Florence facility and utilize our technology to connect with any of our providers across our 4 locations!  Our additional locations in Eugene, Salem and Portland are comprised of Family Nurse Practitioners, Naturopathic Physicians, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, Counselors, Chiropractors, Acupuncture, Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy and oral health with an Expanded Practice Dental Hygienist. 

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Administrative:

  • Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities, including regularly scheduled meetings, clinical audits and peer reviews; to be monitored by the Senior Director of Clinic Operations.
  • Provides leadership within the clinic, and advice and recommendations to the Senior Director of Clinic Operations.
  • Assists in the provision of continuing education, on-the-job training, and the orientation of community health center staff as requested. Participate in the development of medical department policies and procedures in accordance with policies, accreditation requirements and professional standards.

  • Knowledge of the rules, regulations and procedures of Oregon Integrated Health and willingness to learn.
  • Safety: Responsible for ensuring that all duties, responsibilities and operations are performed with the utmost regard for the safety and health of all personnel involved, including patients and themselves by following required Federal/State/RHC protective protocols, policies and guidelines.

Clinical:

  • The Primary Care Provider will provide primary care in an integrated setting with various other specialties at the clinic.
  • Primary Care Provider will have access to Medical Assistants that will room patients, collect vitals, submit referrals and perform electronic orders as submitted by provider.
  • Primary Care Provider will have access to Community Health Workers that will follow up on ED visits, referrals, complex care patients and quality metric data. 
  • New patient visits are 45 minutes and follow up 30 minutes, Urgent appointments are 15 minutes.  Same day appointments will be available for each provider.
  • Conduct standard medical and physical examinations and perform standard diagnostic tests in office and through telemedicine conferencing.
  • Orders, reviews and provides patient instructions regarding diet and activities and their modifications as appropriate.
  • Refer patients to other health professionals in the treatment of diseases requiring further diagnosis and evaluation.
  • Provides appropriate medical record documentation in an EHR on all patients in accordance with clinic policy.
  • Excellent communication and written skills. Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of primary care.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

  • Must hold MD, or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • 3 years of experience working with a community clinic is highly desirable.
  • At least 1 years within a leadership and/or executive role.
  • Must hold a valid Oregon State Physician License
  • Must be Board Certified or Board eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine or other full scope Primary Care Specialty.
  • Current DEA license.
