Job Overview

The Security Specialist will assist in developing and maintaining the safety and security functions across our headquarters and salon locations. Reporting to the Director of Security, you will work towards ensuring our organization's facilities are safe for employees, clients, vendors, and visitors alike. Building and maintaining collaborative partnerships, redefining, and executing security best practices, and understanding the needs of our growing business will bring you success in this role.

About the Role

• Coverage Assignments
  • Collaborate with all third-party security vendors to ensure guard coverage is scheduled and executed
  • Strategically work with Production, Inventory, and Sales teams to facilitate the delivery of merchandise
  • Assist with coordinating security needs for upcoming events, working closely with Events and Operations to provide a safe environment.
  • Implement best practices related to the utilization of physical security systems, investigation techniques, effective oversight of contract security officers, and distribution center loss mitigation techniques
  • Work as a cross-functional employee to fulfill the needs within the Operations Team
  • Serve as department's liaison for security/crisis management as a subject matter expert for site leadership
  • Maintain confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace

• Systems Management
  • Assist with all technical security systems: alarm programs and various vendors. access control and monitoring interfaces, technical equipment & on-premise devices, connectivity methods through the network, and any other related components
  • Monitor all systems: including but not limited to CCTV and monitoring tools, alarm functionality. regimented audits and testing of all systems per location, and identify opportunities for consolidation of vendors and/or interfaces as applicable

• Employee Education
  • Assist with training all staff on best safety and security practices on a reoccurring schedule
  • Educate employees on how to echo a voice of safety at each location
  • Train and educate the organization on disaster and/or crisis preparedness and response plans, such as instances of natural disaster, intruders or break-ins, system failures, workplace violence, and more

• Security Relations
  • Establish strong connections to local law enforcement within each location's community
  • Work within Security team to Broaden network of connections in preparation of international future-planning

What You Bring to the Team

• Demonstrated success in security service, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, and quality assurance
• Previous security experience within a luxury retail environment preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
• Proficiency with security systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Workplace Violence and/or Business Continuity

Pay Transparency

Targeted base compensation is $65,000 plus annual bonus. The total compensation package is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Our Work Environment

Our workplace is clean, orderly, appropriately lighted and ventilated with the proper safety compliance. Noise levels are considered low and daily physical activities are considered light: office work, seldom lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, or walking.
