- Experience driving/hauling an oversized commercial vehicles
- Uses knowledge of local area, GPS, and/or mapping applications to avoid high traffic areas and to ensure the shortest and safest route to destination.
- Fully trained to hand all kinds of security-related incidents / threats that may arise while on the job.
- Observant and skilled when assessing situations. Stay alert at all times to safeguard and recognize suspicious behavior/unusual occurrences that may lead to a security incident.
- Recognize routine threats to the safety of employees, members, visitors with regard to potential hazards such as trip and fall hazards, unexpected weather conditions and congregation of large crowds.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.
- Strong commitment to safety. Drives defensively to ensure safety.
- Excellent navigational skills. Ability to map appropriate routes and estimate travel times using GPS or standard maps.
- Ability to drive for extended periods throughout the day.
- Knowledge of general vehicle / trailer maintenance and the ability to diagnose mechanical issues.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills. Courteous and friendly with interactions.
- Ability to present a neat and professional appearance.
- Willing to work early mornings and flexibility to work on weekends and holidays if required.
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid state driver's license and 3 years of prior Security Officer experience
- No criminal history (no felonies, no misdemeanors, no arrests)
- Clean MVR (motor vehicle report) - No DUI, No (DL) suspensions
- Must have active both D and G security license
