Job Description
The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our properties safe and problem-free.
If you do not have any experience, we are willing to train you. We do have SLED certified trainers on our staff to provide you with the proper training courses to become a SLED certified Security Officer.
This is a Evening Shift position. The Schedule is Monday - Friday from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM unless the employees of the complex stay later to which you must stay until the last employee leaves. You will have Holidays that the business is closed for off.
Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
- Provide assistance to the employees so they are able to come and go from the building safely
- You many be asked to escort an employee to their vehicle or to the business
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
Requirements
- Must be 18 or older
- A valid drivers license is required
- Have a reliable means of transportation
- Must be willing to work Monday-Friday 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM or later
- Pass all required background and drug screenings
- Must have a smartphone to operate our reporting software
- Must be able to physically perform routine foot patrols
- Must have effective written and oral communication skills
