Job Description
Responsibilities:
Security officer’s responsibilities will be to provide professional and courteous security services to residents, staff, visitors, contractors, first responders and manage all aspects of safety of the property. This position includes but is not limited to the following list of specific tasks:
- Perform hourly checks within the building and outside building perimeter.
- Maintain accurate shift log.
- Responsible for in-house mail delivery from various departments.
- Intercept, secure and notify resident(s) of package deliveries.
- Responsible for company issued equipment and keys.
- Monitor on-site operation of fire safety equipment.
- Monitor and operate multiple on-site cameras.
- Assist first responders dispatched to property.
- Assist residents with non-emergencies and/or emergencies as warranted.
Qualifications:
Incumbents must be able to:
- Walk 23 floors and perimeter of property.
- Write legible, concise, accurate and detailed incident reports.
- Remain professional in all aspects of emergencies.
- Defuse conflict with residents/visitors and other team members.
- Work a flexible shift on an as needed basis.
- Possess a current SORA certification card.
- Pass a pre-employment background screening.
