WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We seek a motivated, inspired and results-oriented individual to become the Security Manager for our Southern California Distribution Centers
The Security Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Screening visitors, vendors, and employees
- Running external and internal perimeter security protocols
- Security vendor management
- Training and awareness programs
- Incident management and emergency response protocols
- Crafting and implementing collaborative communication strategies
- Conducting vulnerability assessments
- Security infrastructure maintenance coordination and monitoring
- CTPAT Compliance
- Perimeter protection protocols
- Security program review
- Mitigate threat assessment findings
- Special Event Security
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this position you will be responsible for running security programs, such as: access control, security vendor management, apply and implement the Global Security Standards, supporting the Nike/Converse California Distribution Centers in Southern, CA to support the goal of providing a safe and secure workplace for Nike employees and its guests.
Typically, your workday consists of meetings, phone calls and responses to immediate security concerns and oversight of the security operations at your assigned location.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
This role will report directly to the Nike Regional Security Manager for the Western US. You will collaborate with the Global Safety & Security teams, Human Resources, Business Operations, security vendors, Workplace Design & Connectivity (facilities), building landlords, contingent workforce leadership, local law enforcement and will manage the contract security service provider at your facilities.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 6 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters+ 4 yrs; Associates degree + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs
- Proven experience leading teams in a multi-location corporate environment
- 6 years experience in one or all the following fields: corporate security management, security and asset policy development, Law Enforcement, guard force utilization
- Proficient with MS Office Products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience influencing key business partners and senior leadership
- 3+ years of experience utilizing physical security systems, including access control, fire life safety, alarm systems, and CCTV.
- Proven emotional intelligence and ability to thrive in an ambiguous and constantly evolving environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Functional ability to run, jump, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable form of transportation
