SECURITY LEAD OFFICER
We are looking to add a Security LeadOfficer to our team. The Security lead will assist the Security Manager and Director of Resort Operations in daily functions of the department to ensure protection of the property, resort assets, associates and owners/members/guests. Ensure professional, efficient operation while providing leadership, guidance, training and organization.

Essential Functions: As a Security Lead, your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strong leadership skills – Training, scheduling, ability to manage and supervise the day-to-day security employees of the property and to ensure the safety and security of all residents, employees, personnel and the property. Schedules other security officers to cover required shifts and oversees work activity during shift.
- Function as the training officer to new officers for facility familiarization, policy understanding and compliance.
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Ability to effectively communicate in a positive, respectful manner with all employees, guests, members and any other member of the public or outside entity.
- Ability to maintain composure under stress and the ability to be flexible with assigned evolving duties.
- Ability to work any shift needed in case of a call out/or vacation time of another security officer.
- Oversee & Conduct the Employee and Resort Guest/Member incident reports.
- Conduct walk through observations of entire hotel complex.
- Promote safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and preventative measures.
- Ensure that CCTV systems are professionally, effectively and sensitively monitored in compliance with relevant procedures and legislation.
- Note and report broken defective or dangerous equipment as well as facilitates repairs and corrective action to items within the property that may presents a hazard or threat to the life, safety and well-being of our guests and employees.
- Attend and participate in required meetings.
- Monitor the following areas; Fire watch, seasonal turtle duties, and daily security for all areas of the resort/club.
- Patrols assigned area on foot, checking for fires, vandalism, suspicious activity or persons, safety/fire hazards and reports circumstances to campus police unit for correction or follow-up actions.
- Responds to alarms and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations.
- Decides when an incident requires written report, decides which report form to use and submits to supervisor; may prepare other written reports as directed by supervisor.
- Other Duties as assigned

- Skill in both verbal and written communication with minimal guidance.
- Skill in observing situations and decision making.
- Skill in dealing courteously with the public.
- Skill in leading the work of others.
- Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
- Skill in de-escalation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- Prior functional experience with security or law enforcement preferred.
- Minimum two years of management or supervision experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
